Island Vineyard-Autumn

The mist in the vineyard brings the certain mystic of autumn. The leaves drop and it's fun to kick at the bundles lining the rows.

Harvest

We have a lot of friends help us to pick the grapes in the fall. Afterwards we all enjoy a harvest luncheon together.

The four seasons in the vineyard. Spring finds new pink leaves, summer is a dense green canape, fall the leaves change and grapes ripen, winter can be cold and bleak.

Filterbeds

 On the back side of Beaver Lake are a series of interlocking ponds which show colour in the fall.

Seaweed and Shells

 It is fascinating how the seaweed drapes over all the shells and barnacles, yet doesn't get cut to shreds.

 Tidal Currents

The tides flowing in and out and around the shells and rocks and moving the seaweed around each time was fascinating to me.

Conch shells have been used as wind instruments to call for attention. This shell was intricate and delicate and made for a fun painting. 

     Emotions Flowing from Within

These shells fascinated me as they are so rough on the outside yet so silky smooth on the inside--kind of like some people.
